The nature of a pitta doha resembles the activity of the hormones. In Ayurveda the types of PCOS can be classified into 2 types according to the aggravated doshas-

1)The aggravated pitta dosha results in hair loss, painful menstruation, acne and clots.

2) Kapha dosha nourishes the tissues of the reproductive system and supports the growth of the follicles during ovarian cycle. aggravated kapha resulta in obesity, facial hair growth and subfertility.

3) Vata dosha is responsible for the movement of the follicles, release of matured ovums, movement of the fimbriae thus moving the ovum neat uterus. Aggravated vata dosha results in painful periods, scantly or missed periods and irregularity in menstrual cycle.
